Left Femur Fracture with Open Reduction Internal Fixation - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This exhibit depicts the left knee with a prosthesis in place and supracondylar fractures with intercondylar extension. The surgical repair performed include reaming of the femur, insertion of and intramedullary rod and secured in place with screws. Additional lag screws with washers and bolts are placed across the femur condyles to secure the bone fragments in place.
