Cholecystectomy with Injury to the Common Bile Duct - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This exhibit consist of four images focused in the anatomical area of the Gallbladder and surrounding structures. We begin showing the normal anatomy of the liver, gallbladder, stomach, pancreas and arterial supply. This first image is followed by a close-up of the normal gallbladder and its anatomical relations with the common bile duct and its connection to the liver where the triangle of Calot is depicted. Then, a correct post-operative condition of a cholecystectomy procedure is depicted compared to the outcome of an incorrect procedure.
