Right Ulnar Nerve Compression with Surgical Submuscular Transposition - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This medical exhibit depicts right ulnar nerve compression with surgical submuscular transposition. The first image shows the pre-operative condition, pain caused by compression neuropathy of the ulnar nerve in the right elbow. The second image illustrates an incision made into the medial aspect of the right elbow to access the underlying ulnar nerve. The third image illustrates the ulnar nerve being mobilized and moved anteriorly over the medial epicondyle and placed in it's new position. The final image illustrates the origin of the common flexor tendon being repaired through drill holes in the medial epicondyle.
