| This stock medical exhibit depicts the placement of an intraspinal drug delivery pump and catheter. The first image is a lateral view of a male torso with a cross-section of the lower thoracic and lumbar spine visible underneath the skin. A hollow needle is shown inserted into the spinal canal at the level of L2-L3. The second image shows a catheter threaded through this hollow needle up to the level of T12-L1. The third image shows removal of the needle and suturing of the catheter into place.
